ピープホール、あるいはのぞき穴は、扉に開いている小さな穴であり、カメラのレンズと同様に
内側から外を見ることができます。 今回のシリーズでは、このレンズを通して自分の周囲を見る
ということを試みています。それは写真家として長くやってきた行為です。しかし、絶えず自分
の周囲を見ること、また過去を見つめることによって、常に写真では表現できた現実の形や色彩と、
絵画の形との間に橋を架けなければなりませんでした。画家として、この経験は自分が絵を描く上で、
また形や姿を仕上げる上で— 中途半端なまま残すのか、中途半端であるという事実そのものを全体と
して受け入れるか — どこまで進めるのかを決断する手助けとなりました。活気にあふれた日本という
国で感じた、移住の孤独感により生まれたこのコンセプトによって、私の頭の中でコレクションの
全体的な構造が形作られました。

Peephole is a small opening through a door allowing the viewer to look from the inside to the
outside in the same way that a camera lens does.
In this series, I tried to look at my surroundings through this lens; something that I had done for years as
a photographer, but now, by constantly looking around me and even looking at the past,
I had to build a bridge from the real forms and colors that photography had always granted me to the forms of paintings.
As a painter, this experience helped me decide how far I could go in painting, and finishing forms and figures,
whether to leave it half-finished or accept the very fact of its being half-finished as a whole.
This concept which appeared because of the solitude of immigration ( A distance between Tehran and Tokyo)
in the midst of Japan bustling with life, shaped the overall structure of this
collection in my mind.
